How accurate is this calculator?
This calculator uses official 2026 rates from EPF, SOCSO, and LHDN. EPF, SOCSO, and EIS calculations are highly accurate. Income tax estimates are based on YA 2026 progressive rates and your selected reliefs. Your actual tax may vary based on bonuses, additional income, or special deductions.
What's the difference between Simplified and Complete modes?
Simplified mode uses standard tax reliefs (RM 9,000 individual + RM 4,000 EPF/insurance). Complete mode allows you to customize all tax reliefs including spouse, children, education, medical, and lifestyle expenses for a more accurate calculation.
Why is my net salary different from my payslip?
Differences can arise from: (1) Additional allowances not included in basic salary, (2) Bonuses and overtime affecting annual tax, (3) Different MTD calculation assumptions by your employer, (4) This calculator uses estimated monthly tax while actual tax is calculated annually.
Can I claim more tax reliefs than shown here?
Yes! This calculator includes the most common reliefs. Additional reliefs available in YA 2026 include: parental care (RM1,500), disabled children (RM6,000), home security equipment, EV charging facilities, and more.
